Mariatta Wijaya is a multi-award-winning open source maintainer and contributor, and a Python core developer. Her focus in CPython is the core workflow and the documentation: the tooling, the automation, and the guides that make it easier for other people to contribute and for maintainers to keep up with the work.

She speaks at conferences around the world, and much of her work is in building the spaces where that work happens: she runs PyLadies Vancouver, organizes conferences including PyCascades, and co-organizes the Maintainer Summit at PyCon US.
